According to a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) in February 2026, Musk wrote explicitly: “SpaceX has shifted its focus to building a self-growing city on the Moon.
We can achieve this in under 10 years, whereas Mars would take over 20 years.
The top priority is safeguarding the future of civilization, and the Moon is much faster!”
He emphasized that it is possible to launch a spacecraft to the Moon every 10 days—a journey taking just two days—rather than waiting 26 months for a launch window to Mars.
Millions of people on Earth are in a panic.
Is this a sign that Musk and the ultra-wealthy are preparing to “abandon” our planet?
