The world’s richest man has waded into the Karl Stefanovic storm today as thousands rally against the “censorship” of the Aussie TV star.
Elon Musk has inserted himself into the growing controversy surrounding Karl Stefanovic’s future at Nine, responding with a simple: “Wow.”
The trillionaire’s brief reaction came in response to a viral X post claiming Stefanovic had undergone a dramatic shift away from mainstream media and was now embracing the independent podcast space.
The lengthy post, shared by commentator Steven Mark Ryan, claimed the veteran Australian television host had “took the red pill” after questioning aspects of the Covid-19 vaccine rollout and launching his own podcast.
The podcast had attracted a lot of negative attention from Australia’s establishment media before Stefanovic dropped a nuclear bomb in the shape of Tommy Robinson this week.
Stefanovic’s interview with the controversial British activist Tommy Robinson immediately sparked crisis talks at Nine after the episode was reportedly removed from YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Instagram.
Robinson, a once-prominent campaigner against radical Islam in the UK, claims he is one of the most censored individuals online.
Thousands of free speech advocates on X have since reposted the clip to the platform.
