Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk believes that the company’s Optimus Humanoid robot, as well as its Artificial Intelligence efforts, will enable accessible healthcare for all in the future.
Elon Musk Touts Optimus-Fueled Healthcare
On Monday, Musk quoted a post on X by influencer Peter Diamandis who shared a clip of Musk talking about how humanoid robots with “very high dexterity” could enable “access to better medical care than the richest person on Earth.”

Notably, Musk recently announced that the Fremont, California facility had successfully transitioned to produce Optimus units following the Tesla Model S, X sunset earlier this year.
Tesla’s VP of Vehicle Engineering, Lars Moravy, also said that the company would have as many as 40 production lines to produce the Humanoid robot at scale.
Cathie Wood Touts $50 Billion Investment
Investor Cathie Wood-led ARK Invest shared its insight into the future of humanoid robots and AI, saying that the technology should “create new jobs” rather than replace existing ones, but added that new technologies always coincide with fears about job losses, citing the emergence of the Internet as an example.
“US labor productivity has compounded at ~2.1% annually since the commercial tractor’s debut.
Real disposable income has grown at a ~3.2% annualized rate over the postwar period,” the post said, adding that the sector could grow “meaningfully” within the next decade.
Ark then said there was a caveat in the form of the intricate and complex nature of humanoid roboTS. “A humanoid robot is 200,000 times more complex than a robotaxi,” Ark said.
The firm also said that an investment of approximately $50 billion in compute was needed to help the technology reach “human-level task proficiency.”
“Tesla’s Optimus could approach that threshold around 2028.
China is pushing hard to get there first,” Ark said, backing Optimus.
